The Green Grid is a global consortium dedicated to advancing energy efficiency in data centers and business computing ecosystems. In furtherance of its mission, The Green Grid is focused on the following: defining meaningful, user-centric models and metrics; developing standards, measurement methods, processes and new technologies to improve data center performance against the defined metrics; and promoting the adoption of energy efficient standards, processes, measurements and technologies.



The SCSI Trade Association was established in 1995 to provide a focal point for members to communicate the benefits of SCSI to the industry. STA promotes the understanding and use of Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) technology and influences the evolution of SAS standards to meet future industry needs.

Blade.orgis a collaborative organization and developer community whose goals are to provide leadership to the blade server market, to foster a collaborative community of customers and members to expand the blade ecosystem, and to accelerate the growth and adoption of technologies and solutions in the market. The objective of the Storage Bridge Bay Working Group (SBB) is to create a specification that defines mechanical, electrical and low-level enclosure management requirements for an enclosure controller slot that will support a variety of storage controllers from a variety of independent hardware vendors (“IHVs”) and system vendors. Any storage controller design based on the SBB specification will be able to fit, connect, and operate within any storage enclosure controller slot design based on the same specification.


The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) is a not-for-profit organization, made up of over 200 companies and individuals spanning virtually the entire storage industry. SNIA members share a common goal: to set the pace of the industry by ensuring that storage networks become efficient, complete, and trusted solutions across the IT community. To this end the SNIA is uniquely committed to delivering standards, education, and services that will propel open storage networking solutions into the broader market.

The SNIA IP Storage Forum markets and promotes block storage networking solutions using standard IP networks.


The Serial ATA International Organization (SATA-IO) is an independent, non-profit organization developed by and for leading industry companies.

Officially formed in July 2004 by incorporating the previous Serial ATA Working Group, the SATA-IO provides the industry with guidance and support for implementing the SATA specification. The standardized SATA specification replaces a 15 year old technology with a high speed serial bus supporting up to 10 years of expected future.


The Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF) is the industry organization that is leading the development, adoption and unification of management standards and initiatives for desktop, enterprise and Internet environments. Working with key technology vendors and affiliated standards groups, the DMTF is enabling a more integrated, cost-effective, and less crisis-driven approach to management through interoperable management solutions. Our Goals as an Organization is to accelerate adoption of management standards, to unify industry management initiatives and to promote interoperability among management solution providers.

Our Mission is to lead the development of management standards for distributed desktop, network, enterprise and Internet environments.


OCTANe is fueling "innovation development" in Orange County and Southern California. By connecting people, capital and technology, OCTANe accelerates entrepreneurs and company development for Orange County's information technology and biomedical industries. Our stakeholder group includes some of the most promising start-ups, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, large companies, and the university sector, all working together to get more companies started, funded, and accelerated in OC and surrounding regions.
